Aulumu A17 series purports to confer real-time overheating alerts on iPhone 17 Pro, Pro Max

Apple has conceded that its more powerful iPhones need cooling for the first time with the introduction of a vapor chamber in the 17 Pro and Pro Max. Now, Aulumu purports to augment this new foray into thermal management with its A17 series of cases.
The accessories also bring potentially appealing transparent-effect styling and/or glowing accents to the 17 Pro series, both of which are found in the A17 Frosted Case.
It does indeed make the new premium handsets look a lot more like the Nothing Phone (3), with its mostly monochrome MagSafe coil outline and separate, raised rear lens shield that brings more detail to the otherwise blank 17 Pro-series camera window.
The shield also integrates Aulumu's "CPU monitor", rated to change color from green through orange to red to indicate the iPhone's temperature within some general ranges (~25-39°C, ~40-44°C and ~45°C or higher respectively).
The Frosted Case's TPU shell (made using a "dual-sided IMD process" to preserve its various raised patterns from wear or scratches) is otherwise monolithic and is compatible with MagSafe while in place on the iPhone.
The A17 Slim Shockproof Case technically does the same, although it has a smoother outer shell that has to be removed beforehand.
The shell also comprises Aulumu's CoolHyper Superconductive Cooling Tech (an aluminum plate and a silicone pad), touted to reduce 17 Pro-series temperatures by up to 46%. It also features raised Avient corner-bumpers for "up to 4x MIL-STD-810G" drop protection not present on the Frosted Case.
The Shockproof variant also augments the OEM's aluminum buttons ("with tactile feedback") with a "touch-sensitive" Camera Control button.
The A17 Slim Shockproof Case is available in black or white via Alumu directly online for $54.98, with availability on Amazon projected to start from September 25, 2025.
The A17 Frosted Case is already listed on Amazon, albeit in Translucent Gray only (and for $39.98 as opposed to $34.98 on alumu.com), with its Translucent White counterpart slated to join it on September 25.
